About Marie

My name is Marie Gonzales. I’m GT’s founder, owner and podcast host, a Strategic Consultant in the software industry since the age of 16, a Front-End Engineer and an artist.

I'm a global citizen: I'm a German national who was raised in Germany's Rhineland region and is currently based in the Netherlands whilst my family originates from France and from the Philippines.

In addition to these countries, I had the opportunity to reside in the US, in the UK (in both England and Scotland), in Spain and in the Czech Republic for work and study purposes and to travel to even more enriching cultures.

Owing to this intercultural environment since birth, I'm multilingual: I'm fluent in written and spoken German, French, Tagalog in English. 🌎

As for my work-related experience, I have been working as a Strategic Consultant for multinational technology corporations and scale-ups since the age of 16, such as Microsoft (Xbox), Zoom, Oracle an Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE).

It's at the early age of 11 where I generated interest in technology by developing my first website. It was a website on one of my favorite Japanese manga and anime series entitled 'Kamikaze Kaitō Jeanne' by author Arina Tanemura. It was then—at the age of 11—where I set my first career goal: becoming a superhero in tech! 👧🏻

Furthermore, I'm a life-long learner. I hold a Master of Science and a Master of Arts in the fields of International Business Management, Pychology and Business and Technical Translating and Interpreting. Additionally, I have multiple business- and technology-related professional certifications. 👩🏻‍🎓

Committed to continuous learning, I find joy in growing through interactions with fellow human beings, reading non-fictional books, watching documentaries, listening to fellow podcasters and traveling.

In my leisure time, I draw inspiration from creative and artistic activities such as front-end engineering, UX design, song and poetry writing, singing, painting, drawing and photography. 🎨

On a physical level, I feel energized by meditating on a daily basis since the age of 16, walks in the outdoors, martial arts and combat sports. 🥋
